Lambda Sigma Phi - Alpha Chapter - University of North Alabama

Who We Are

The Alpha chapter of Lambda Sigma Phi was founded in early 2017.  Lambda Sigma Phi is a brotherhood of Christian men who strive to shine a light for Christ in the greek community and on campus at the University of North Alabama. The brothers of Lambda Sig are called upon to uphold the high standards set by the founders and the brothers that came before them.

While young for a chapter, Lambda Sig has already expressed a great deal of integrity and momentum by finishing with one of the highest fraternity GPAs every semester, 50% of members making Dean's list (3.5 or higher GPA), and an intense diversity in student majors, ranging from political science to music industry, from pre-med to pre-law.  Our brothers are also very involved on campus and in the community through LaGrange Society, SOAR, Student Government, Residence Life, Club Sports, Pride of Dixie, Honors College, Chamber Choir, numerous campus ministries, church ministries, and more.

We pride ourselves in our academic excellence and push ourselves to reach new heights, in and outside of the classroom. Lambda Sig enjoys the social aspect of greek life with mixers, date parties, formals, intramural sports, and volunteering. We also hold each other accountable through bonding with each other and growing in our walk with God through our weekly bible study.

The Alpha Chapter is constantly involved within their university's community and IFC.  Winning the Overall Homecoming Spirit Challenge in 2018 and Men's Division 2nd place at Step Sing 2018.

Quotes from Brothers

“What I found in Lambda Sigma Phi was more than a fraternity. I found brothers who support me in my walk with Christ, and encourage me to be the best that I can be as a student and leader. Joining Lambda Sig is by far the most gratifying decision I’ve made in college!”

 Samuel Mashburn

“I went through a lot of change and turmoil my first semester here at UNA. Discovering that I could be a part of the foundation that is Lambda Sigma Phi during this time has truly changed my life. I’ve made relationships I will have my entire life and grown exponentially in my spiritual walk through this fraternity; I don’t know where I would be without it.”

Brody Knight

“When I think of Lambda Sig, I think of family. When I came to UNA, I had no idea what I was looking for, but this brotherhood has blessed me with a group of men who encourage me to grow in every aspect of my life. We have fun as a group and enjoy all that fraternity life has to offer, and we also understand that there is a greater calling for our lives.”
